un Quote

On Humanity: Until the truth about our past is known, our future will forever remain in chaos.

Success to me is measured by the amount of sane moments that I experience. No achievement is greater than my sanity.

-unNaked Soul

I was having a conversation just yesterday, and somewhere along the line, she said "I will not do anything unless my boy friend approves..."

I asked "Are you saying that you don't have an identity of your own that you have to hid behind the shadows of your boyfriend?"

She said "Yes!"

I responded "Do you think your boyfriend would identify with you when it comes to making the same decision? In fact don't answer..."

I cannot understand a woman who has no identity of her own, especially when she molds her existence around another man. *sigh*

Heck! We all have our weaknesses, don't we?

May the universe give face to the faceless...

thats why u see lots of girls totally wrecked after a break up, its sort of like starting all over again, theiring to find their selves.they build their world around and within an illusion of absolute perfection loosing their identity in the process....

Hmm...this reminds me of that whole thing I wrote a coupla weeks ago about people needing to go into relationships as wholes rather than halves seeking their other half.

Clearly she's learned to become dependent on him, and I feel so sorry for her because she doesn't even seem to realize it.

I'm still thinkin'of what to say about this one. Ermmmm...okay where did it all start? Way way back, women relied too much on their husbands, cud not do anythin' b4 askin' him, cud not go anywhere unless he says so...well did that come with every generation there after? lemme see...partly yah, but mostly no. These days i think its just a few who say that kinda thing. We have greatly learnt thru makin' that mistake. Lets give ourselves a round of applause now. Please tell her to start identifyin' more with herself that her b/f. We've followed these people for way too long now.

Nice post btw...

There is nothing healthier than being in a relationship in which you are both individuals and you both respect each others individuality....

Afrobabe said it best. When most women love they give their all and hold nothing back, initially. Once we've been hurt we become more aware and bit more cautious.

How else can u give ur all if not ignorantly...Play the fool, close ur eyes to the negatives unless they are glaring...love like there is no tomoro..there is always time to hate when u come down from the high...I try not to hate...seperate with mutual respect then u can remain on talking tems if not friends...

She is just too ignorant... maybe due to the happenings around her.

Giving your all doesnt mean you shouldnt be independent.

You only give your all to make the relationship better...
give your all to make the sex sweeter...
give your all to make the food more delicious...
give your all to earn his respect...
give your all to even understand yourself better...
give your all to understand him...
give your all to help him understand you better...

not to be a dumbfool!

I guess it probably has to do with the role models in her life, or how she was raised. I could think of a bunch of reasons y she would be that way, low self-esteem, insecurity? To each his own.

By the way, it took me a while to figure out that u were a guy. I was confused, had to read a lot of ur old posts to figure that out.

Unfortunately as far as many men are concerned this is the perfect women that you have just described. The universe operates on the laws of supply and demand. As long as there are women willing to supply these false affectations then there are many men that will continue to demand this in a partner.

now on to this lady or should i say girl cuz no lady would cease to exist as an indivdual in order to please another, one must ask does she have a backbone and does she love herself or know her worth or is she an empty vessel looking to be filled and fulfilled by another.

just wondering
